But I'd take one over a Miata any day.

It’s like a NA 2nd gen Mr2, without the handling, the reliability and the great look. If you like challenges, it’s a car for you :)

“I’m certain it’s shit, but I want one anyway” could be the unofficial motto of Oppo.

MR2s are like a true mid-engined Miata. This is like a mid-engined version of the shit the Miata was supposed to usurp.

They are shit but they have their charms. Build quality is very... British, but they can be good fun. You have to be an enthusiast for them to deal with the issues they have though.

I had two of them. They can be very fast with a few upgrades.
In Gran Turismo 5.

A friend of mine had one and quite liked it. He also wants a 90's Escort Cabrio and various terrible Jeeps so don’t read too much in to that.
They certainly aren’t as common as they used to be, and I haven’t seen any of the ‘new’ models.
